Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Saudi club Al-Nassr, confirmed his continued stay with the team after weeks of doubts about his future.

Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr expires on June 30, and recent press reports have revealed complex negotiations to renew it. After winning the 2025 UEFA Nations League title with Portugal on Sunday, Ronaldo said in brief statements reported by the British newspaper, the Daily Mail: “The future? Nothing will change. Al-Nassr, yes.” Cristiano had raised doubts about the possibility of his departure from Al-Nassr after two and a half seasons without any titles, when he wrote on his X account after the season ended: “This chapter is over, and the story is still being written.” The 40-year-old confirmed a few days ago that he had rejected several offers to move to teams participating in the 2025 Club World Cup.
